I was asked if I could teach a kindergarten Class Spanish and wasn’t given a guide?
PR asked:
I started today and was just thrown in there not knowing what or how much Spanish the children were familiar with. I given a “lesson Plan” Calendar witch just states the theme they are learning about, next week will be “Fossils”. I have no Idea how to incorporated Spanish into this subject or even how to teach it without boring them. Again this is a Kindergarten class and I only get 15minutes to “teach” them Spanish, I would like to do something hands on but have no idea what, thanks in advance!

And I’m not a “Real Teacher” so I have no experience.

I assume you are a Spanish speaker. The first thing you need to do is find out how much they do know.
Start with greetings, colors, and numbers. If you know some songs or poems that teach these, great.
With the fossils, I’d get the materials they’ll be using in English and translate into Spanish. Basically,
it will be teaching them vocabulary and pronunciation. Show them pictures or flashcards and teach them the words. With only 15 minutes, all you can be expected to do is give them some vocabulary. You can’t do much with worksheets yet because many of them won’t be able to read.
