Follow your gut instinct and dont take it. Sounds like the kid is a nightmare and the mother too.

I would take it on a 30 day trial. After that you can sit down and talk some issues out.

For a start i would ask for the contract in writing of your hours, pay and responsibility. I would also request as part of the contract a trial period. Start from there then jump to the next steps after really thinking about it. Talk it over with the nanny agencies and maybe contact other nannies to talk it over with them.

Lets face it people do have personality clashes with children. I would also look at the positive you could help chang e this child’s behaviour and learn to understand him alot more then his own mother. You can build a relationship that is based on mutual respect for each other. This can be done. Lay down barriers and develop a behaviour management plan for this children and you should be fine.

He’s 2 and he takes horseback riding lessons? lol. wow. You could always try it out and see if it works for you. It sounds as if she doesn’t really discipline him and he might walk all over you. It might not be worth the high pay, but give it a try… good luck!

If you are uncomfortable, don’t take the job. That is your sixth sense working or your angels telling you no. Listen. You won’t be sorry. There is no amount worth it putting yourself through daily hell. I know it is a 2 year old, but still. You will be stressed and depressed. My mom babysits too and she is going crazy!
