Affective methods of learning spanish for intermediate beginners?

I studied spanish for a few years in high school and took 2 or 3 classes in college. I have also completed the first 3 lessons of Rosetta Stone and am now wondering what to do next because I am far from fluent. Are there any good books or other methods that can help me expand my knowledge of the language? I dont want to go back to school yet and moving to a spanish speaking region is not an option…
