Any spanish teacher can help me with this poem? HELP AND IDEAS?
I’m a Spanish teacher and I’m going to have an interview with a very important private school and 7 people from the school is going to interview me plus i have to give a lesson to a 11th grade class. it is their 4th level of spanish, the kids are very good speaking spanish i guess, they speak almost fluently and their teacher recommend me to give to her students this poem, maybe any spanish teacher can analize for me this poem?…what i should work with those students?.. we are going to discuss the poem and comprehension, I’m kind of new teaching upper level kids, ideas advice and the poem is call dia de las madres by Daisy zamora
No dudo que le hubiera gustado tener
una linda mama de anuncio comercial;
con marido adorable y ninos felices.
Siempre aparece risuena- y si algun dia llora-
lo hace una vez apagados reflectores y camaras
y con el rostro limpio de maquillaje.
Pero ya que nacieron de mi, debo decirles:
desde que era pequena como ustedes
ansiaba ser yo misma-y para una mujer eso es dificil-
( hasta que mi anglel guardian renuncio a cuidarme cuando lo supo)
No puedo asegurarles que conozco bien el rumbo.
Muchas veces me equivoco,
y mi vida mas bien ha sido como una dolorosa travesia
vadeando escollos, sorteando tempestades.
desoyando fantasmales sirenas que me invitan al pasado,
sin brujula ni bitacora adecuadas
que me indiquen la ruta.
Pero avanzo, avanzo aferrada a la esperanza
de algun puerto lejano
al que ustedes, hijos mios-estoy segura-
arribaran una manana
-despues de consumado
mi naufragio-
