Spanish speaking countries?
computerjunkie asked:
i dont speak a word of Spanish so bear with me, please. I know that Spanish and Portuguese are different (although they both sound the same to me), but is there a difference between Spanish spoken in Spain and the Mexican, Puerto Rican and other South American Spanish speaking countries…i’m sure accents would differ but can they understand each other? are there any distinct differences with the Portuguese language? I dont mean to offend anyone and I’m not asking for a history lesson…but just wondering if anybody can enlighten me… thanks.
Bianca Jonas, how different is Portuguese spoken in Portugal from the Brazialian? Can you understand them too?
Lets leave the slangs out it coz they just seem to pop up everywhere so its impossible to tell

CHOKOGAT would one be able to tell where the other is from just by listening to the accents or are they more or less the same?
I’m really fascinated that so many countries have the same anguage…here in Asia, its all different so they can never really communicate…
