What/How can I prepare my non-existant classroom for the school year?

its about time asked:

I am in a teacher training program and have previous experience in the classroom. This year however I have no job to prepare for, however in our program they are giving us a work day where we can either go to our classroom (which I obviously don’t have) or to the training classroom and work on things that will be useful to us in our classrooms that we may not normally have time to do because of training at the beg. of the year. Examples include working on classroom set-up, bulliten boards, letters to students, etc. I don’t have students, I don’t have a classroom and the districts around here have forms already made for teachers to hand out to students in regards to rules and procedures (I have ones for my specific room as well), etc. I have lesson plans from my previous jobs and I can’t make more because each district has a specific curriculum and timing guide they use, so my lp would be obsolete. Any ideas what I can spend my time working on? I teach Sr. High Spanish and English.
Please be specific as well.

In most districts around here we aren’t allowed to give extra credit, so I can’t prepare those sorts of assignments.

I have games already along with the lesson plans.

I have posters and decorations as well.
