POLL: if people became less”offended” by little things we could lesson the effect of actual racism?

Princess Consuela B. Hammock asked:

I was reading this article http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/beijing/blog/fourth_place_medal/post/Spanish-basketball-team-poses-for-offensive-pict?urn=oly,100152

about the spanish team posing for a chinese shoe contract “slanting” their eyes..and it got me wondering….. where I come from asians would not be offended by this they joke around about all the time and call themselves something that SOME people might find offensive so i wont say it, as well we have people of other ethnicities (irish, african american, hispanic) in a group of friends that treat those “offensive names” for their race as pet names and lightheartedlyy. Other peopledon’tt take the q by joining in but theydon’tt descriminate in our community.. i know it’s not a big community..but do you think that being lighthearted about it makes it easier to not be offended by the ignorant?

How do you say this in Spanish.again! ?

Math- He needs to take Math Class seriously, by paying attention to the lesson when the teacher is explaining it, and using his independent time wisely. If he does not understand something I will gladly help him at recess time, when I don’t have duty. He scored an F on the first Unit test and a D on the second one. He needs to give his best effort and not worry about friends and socializing during Math time. He is a pleasure to have in class, but I would agree that Sergio needs to keep his socializing to recess and lunch time.
