MOTIVATION! Learning to speak a foreign language for love?

What are your thoughts, would you ever go out of your way to learn a foreign language, learn to salsa, learn to golf, etc. (now, not all, these are examples) because you’re really interested in someone who really likes those things? I’m considering taking Spanish and dance lessons (anyway, it will be fun regardless if it works out). Would you consider/ have you ever done something like that?

If I’m traveling to Costa Rica, do I need to have a return flight set up in order to enter the country?
