How to keep up with my Spanish this summer?
Hi everyone!I am in Spanish I(for the second time. It’s a long story but basically in my old school I had taken Spanish I already and then the next year I went to a different school and had to take Spanish I AGAIN so my Spanish teacher and I do advanced Spanish by writing in a journal back and forth and we have lessons during the week etc.)ANYWAYS,I want to be a language interpreter and so I want to keep on top with my Spanish and learn some new material but there are no summer Spanish classes at this school unless you fail(I have a 100 average though so I don’t think that will happen XD).So,how can I keep building my Spanish skills over the summer?I don’t know anyone who speaks Spanish,my family is all German,so I can’t really speak with anyone at home in Spanish.
PLEASE do not say any kind of website or something like “Rosetta Stone”.
I was thinking maybe I should keep a journal and only write in Spanish?Any other ideas?
MUCHAS gracias
.¡Adios!

Should I perfect my spanish or learn a new language?
I’ve learned spanish in school for many years. But isn’t near perfect at all. I can easily have a conversation but am always looking for my words. I’ve spent almost 3 weeks in El Salvador and my spanish became so much better. I know that if i spent like 3 months there i could of almost become fluent. Thats why i wonder if it is necesseray to take more lessons here in Canada if I already speak a little and gets better when I visit Spanish speaking countries…
Otherwise i’d love to learn a new language such as Mandarin.Japanese or Korean.
I dunno which option i should undertake.
P.S. i already speak fluent english and french

I will be in Monterrey, MX, for couple of weeks: How can I find SPANISH lessons while I am there?
I’ve studied books and listened to Cd’s in the car and such — I think I need some actual lessons in addition to interacting with people. I will not be in an “immersion” situation — I will be with English speakers for much of the day. When I am out what is a courteous way to start practice conversations? Does anyone know of an Spanish Immersion school in that area? Thanks!
